From July 14th to 20th, the Averau refuge will be celebrating the aromas and flavors of wild alpine herbs with a special menu, crafted in collaboration with Irene de Pellegrin, a hiking environmental guide, herb enthusiast, and pharmacy graduate. An opportunity to uncover the most authentic, ancient, and wild side of mountain cuisine.
For those who want to learn more, a botanical walk and a themed gourmet lunch are scheduled for Thursday, July 17.
The program includes:
- Embark on a leisurely guided hike from the Fedare refuge to Jouf de Melei, amidst tales of wild plants and the blooming of Arnica. Irene de Pellegrin, an expert guide, will share insights on the medicinal plants encountered along the way and their health and culinary benefits.
- Upon arrival at the Averau refuge, you'll be treated to a lunch featuring two dishes of your choice from the special menu, all inspired by the mountain herbs.
Cost of the day: €60 per person (including water - excluding alcoholic drinks and chairlift).
In case of bad weather, the event will be postponed to Sunday, September 7.
