The Tennis Club Pedavena is immersed in the beautiful setting of the park of the Pedavena Brewery. It has four tennis courts: two covered courts, red ground and artificial grass, the latter also used for the soccer and two exterior in red ground.
The management of the tennis school has been full time entrusted to the national teacher Fabio Barone. In the curriculum of Barone, graduated from the National School of Masters in 1990, there is above all work for 15 years as head of the Tennis Training Center at the regional technical center of Valletta Cambiaso in Genoa, in those years unique reality in Italy for results at the youth level and number of teenagers.
It was the year 1952...
when it saw the light a tennis stadium with two red ground courts, a fixed grandstand capable of over 400 seats, two changing rooms for athletes, a small bar and the secretary’s office.
The birth of this work was due to the happy combination of some factors: the growing (in those years) attention to tennis that also counted in Italy many very popular champions, the foresight of the owner of the brewery , the passion and dedication of a group of Feltrini. They had guessed that a tourist and climatic station as it was then called Pedavena, would increase its appeal with the presence of a prestigious structure suitable for hosting international meetings.
It should be remembered that already existed within the park of the Brewery a bowling alley and a zoo that attracted crowds of tourists from all over Italy. In those years also worked a single-seater chair lift that led from Sant'Osvaldo to the top of Col Melon where there was an equipped chalet with attached shooting range and from where you could admire the Piave valley.
