Located in the center of Longarone, in the square of J. Tasso, it was built after the Tragedy of the Vajont, on the site of the previous church, consecrated and inaugurated on October 9, 1983, in the twentieth anniversary of the tragedy. It is dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Vajont.
Designed by the Florentine architect Giovanni Michelucci, is the symbol of the new Longarone, there is the memorial of the Victims and you can visit a small museum called "Museo Pietre Vive" that collects the few ruins of the original church recovered among the rubble.
