Ru (little village in Colle Santa Lucia municipalities) , Andraz Castle, Cernadoi, Andraz, Larzonei, Colcuc, Tie, Cianazei, Ru.
A wonderful high-altitude loop along the ancient route used by the miners of the 'Fursil' mines, known as the 'Strada della Vena') to transport the ore from Colle to the smelting furnaces of Andraz Castle.
Along the route, some of the most spectacular hamlets in the municipalities of Colle Santa Lucia and Livinallongo del Col di Lana are touched upon.
Departure can be from the centre of Colle Santa Lucia or, as indicated in the proposed route, from the small road that climbs up to the hamlet of Ru, where the new "Visitors' Centre of the Fursil Mines" will be built.
When you reach the hamlet of Ru, you join the vein road towards the village of 'Canazei'. From here, up steep ramps you continue on an excellent route, very suitable for electric mountain bikes along wooded lanes towards "Col di Larzonei" where, with stretches of ups and downs, you proceed in the direction of the first hairpin bends of the Falzarego Pass until you begin the descent that leads to the castle.
After a visit to the manor house, descend again along the path below the castle and, crossing more meadowy areas intersected by the carriageway, you reach the area with the first houses of Andraz, where you can stock up on water.
Along a steep path, climb up towards the road in the direction of Larzonei, which is reached via the small communal road. From the splendid hamlet continue towards "Colcuc" and from here descend a short stretch of tarmac before turning left onto a path up to the hamlet of "TIE" A few more ramps and you reach "Cianazei" the hamlet with a great view of the Civetta.
From here you turn back onto the "Strada della Vena" route taken at the start to return to the starting point with spectacular views of the Civetta. There is no possibility of recharging the battery during the route, but if used sparingly, the 500w battery charge is sufficient.
