In summer, the shelter is ideal for hikers because it is the starting point for Mount Rite, renowned for the MUSEUM IN THE CLOUDS-MESSNER MOUNTAIN MUSEUM DOLOMITES, is a stage of the ZOLDANO RING and the sublime ALTA VIA N° 3 OF DOLOMITES.
It is the right place for bikers to ride over the Dolomite passes. It is perfect for families who want to relax in the green of the mountain.
The winter offers instead, a few meters, a cross-country ski slope illuminated and cared for, while those who love downhill skiing will appreciate the location of the hut from which you can reach, in a few kilometers the area of CIVETTA, or the SKI AREA SAN VITO or, again, the slopes of CORTINA D'AMPEZZO which is only 30 minutes drive from here.
You will be able to enjoy all of this while surrounded by the warmth of the shelter Remauro, which has been completely renovated both inside (2006) and outside (2008), and will win you over with its typical but very refined cuisine.
It also offers the opportunity of winter and summer stays in comfortable rooms.
The shelter is located on the Cibiana Pass in the Belluno Dolomites. It can be easily reached from the Zoldana valley or from the Boite valley.
Coming from Belluno and Venice, the nearest highway exit (about 30 km from the refuge) is Pian de Vedoia of the A27 Mestre-Belluno. From here, continue in the direction of Longarone, and then for the Zoldana Valley (Provincial Road 251). Just before Forno di Zoldo follow the signs to the right for Fornesighe and Passo Cibiana.
Coming from Cortina or from Cadore, it is possible to go up to the pass from the side of Cibiana di Cadore. The distance from the fork on State Road 51 (near Venas di Cadore) is about 10 km.
