Lake Federa, among the Dolomites of Cortina d’Ampezzo, is a spectacular green-water alpine lake surrounded by towering rock walls.
To reach its altitude of 2,046 metres above sea level, you can choose one of several hiking or MTB trails. Awaiting you is the spectacular body of water in which Croda da Lago and Becco di Mezzodì are reflected.
Right next to the lake stands the Croda da Lago mountain shelter, open in summer and autumn. Try local dishes and, for a truly unique experience, relax in the sauna with a view.
Lake Federa is worth a visit in all seasons, but autumn has a charm all its own. The foliage, the larch trees tinged with yellow and contrasting with the rugged rock walls and the emerald green of the lake, make the view even more unique.
