Moon, stars & planets night

The Col Drusciè Astronomical Observatory has a modern 40cm diameter reflector telescope, fully automated, allowing the public to directly observe celestial objects from a privileged position for the clarity of the sky.

During the visit, some of the most interesting celestial objects visible in the sky (Moon, stars, planets, nebulae, etc.) will be shown through the telescope.

The visit takes place only in case of clear skies.

From the Col Drusciè Observatory, there is a striking view "from above" of Cortina d'Ampezzo and its mountains.

The Col Drusciè Astronomical Observatory can be reached on foot, approximately a 20-minute walk.

The meeting point is at Piè Tofana - accessible by car at the starting time of the visit.

Afterwards, you will walk up to the Observatory with one of our staff members.

A flashlight to light the path and appropriate shoes for walking on a snowy mountain road are mandatory.

Note that the observatory is at 1800 m above sea level and it may be cold.
