Being the crossing point of the Alta Via delle Dolomiti path n.6, it is a good starting point for hikes in Val Salatis, both in summer and in winter.
It is accessible by car by paved road and has a large parking lot. From Belluno you can reach it by following the direction of Ponte nelle Alpi and then Alpago, continuing for Chies d'Alpago until the sign with the indication for the malga (about 30 km).
The hut has 60 seats and offers typical dishes such as rabbit, pastin, schiz, grilled cheese and polenta, also has 25 beds with the possibility of B&B or half board.
