Tofane Olympia

Tofane Olympia | © Dal libro Cortina Olimpica di Massimo Spampani

Located in Cortina d'Ampezzo, this slope has a long tradition of prestigious races and offers a unique experience for professional athletes and ski enthusiasts alike.

The Olimpia slope on the Tofane is one of the most iconic trails in the Dolomites and the entire international skiing scene.

In its 2,560 metre length it features some famous and insidious passages: the ‘Schuss’, with a maximum gradient of 65%, where the ‘Queens of Speed’ jump and reach a maximum speed of 140 kilometres per hour; the ‘Duca d'Aosta Jump’ and the ‘Delta’ blind passage; the complicated ‘Gran Curvone’ and the subsequent change of gradient of the ‘Scarpadon’. In the final stretch the gradient decreases and the athletes have to keep their speed high to tackle the final traverse and the final jump.
90 seconds of pure adrenaline, representing the great Classic of the world's Circo Rosa.

History and competitions:
The slope is famous for hosting regular Alpine Ski World Cup events, particularly the women's downhill and super-G races. It was also one of the main theatres of the 2021 Alpine Ski World Cup and will be central to the competitions of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.

For expert skiers:
After the race weekends, Olimpia delle Tofane is made available to expert skiers, who can experience the same thrills as the champions. Its technical characteristics, combined with the quality of the snow and the magnificent scenery of the Dolomites, make it an unmissable experience for those seeking speed and challenge.
