The Belluno Dolomites hide precious gems, and among them stands out the Brentaz waterfall. A hike suitable for everyone, which takes us to immerse ourselves in an enchanted atmosphere, among the intense green of the woods and the roar of the water.
We start from Roncoi, a hamlet of San Gregorio nelle Alpi, and follow the CAI 851 trail, which winds through beech and fir forests. The path is well marked and not particularly difficult, reaching the Pian del Carbon, a large clearing that once housed charcoal kilns. From here, a steeper path leads us to the Brentaz gorge.
The Brentaz waterfall is a spectacle of nature. The water falls forcefully into a deep pot, creating a wild and suggestive atmosphere. All around, the lush vegetation and the rocks shaped by erosion contribute to making this place even more fascinating.
The hike to Brentaz is also an opportunity to immerse yourself in local history and culture. Along the way, you will encounter ancient paths, abandoned mountain huts and characteristic villages. The church of San Felice, reachable with a short additional stretch, offers a breathtaking view of the valley.
The hike to Brentaz is an unforgettable experience for nature and hiking lovers. An oasis of peace and tranquility just a stone's throw from home, where you can rediscover contact with yourself and the surrounding environment.
