"Do not expect classic wines, our wines are not upset, they are not retouched. They are mountain wines that interpret our territory."
"I had to embark on a long journey that lasted for years, up and down Italy and Europe, meet people from all over, do the most disparate jobs, live in caravans and noisy cities to find that what I was looking for was at my house.
I got there, in the end, after years of trying, like when you find the way out of a maze. Living taught me my grandmother, Elia. She taught me the true measure of things.
Of how sacred food like wine are, woe to waste or abuse them, for they are gifts of the earth, earned by toil. She taught me how little is enough to be happy, finding a balance between sacrifice and satisfaction. A simple life, measured but never monotonous.
These are the principles that guided me and brought me back here to Sospirolo, to plant a vineyard in my native lands. They guided me in the cultivation and vinification, without poisons or forcing, every year different but always sincere and true. In the field I do most of the work by hand alone or in the company of friends when there is so much and the rhythms of nature dictate the times.
But I always find time to stop and listen to crickets and birds singing or to have a chat sitting on the grass. No running, worries and stress to produce more than we need to live and be satisfied.
Look for the things that make you feel good and remove those that make you feel bad. And if you can’t tell them apart, ask for advice until you find the answer.
Live every minute, love each other and love life, which is one, and who knows for what miracle it happened to us."
