The Soffia Waterfall, nestled in the beautiful setting of the Val del Mis, offers a breathtaking natural experience, easily accessible to everyone. An equipped path with wooden railings and a cantilevered panoramic terrace allows for close observation of the power of the water cascading between the rocks.
The route begins at the Bar della Soffia and winds through a picturesque hornbeam forest, providing a cool and shaded environment. Following the clear signs, it takes just 5-10 minutes to reach the waterfall, covering a short distance of about a hundred meters. Along the way, visitors pass a small chapel erected in memory of the ancient chapel of San Romedio, submerged by water in the 1950s following the construction of the dam.
What strikes visitors the most is the color of the water: a play of light and reflections that, penetrating among the rocks, gives the pools spectacular shades, from emerald green to turquoise, before the water mixes with the tranquil waters of Lake Mis. An enchanted place where nature has managed to shape a true masterpiece over time.
