Fishing in the shadow of the Tre Cime - BASIN 2

Put your angling skills to the test on Santa Caterina Lake in Auronzo di Cadore, where you can land some beautiful grayling and colourful brown trout. Or try and hook Arctic char in the crystal clear waters of Misurina Lake, surrounded by the stunning Sorapiss mountain. The Ansiei stream and the many brooks are also home to combative brown trout with their unique colouring. 

Fishing Basin no. 2 lies in one of the most spectacular areas of the Dolomites. Here the clear waters of the lakes reflect some of the most well-known peaks - Tre Cime, Sorapiss, Cristallo and Cadini di Misurina – whose breathtaking scenery inspires contemplation and discovery, offering a unique fishing experience in a spectacular natural setting.

The pristine waters of Santa Caterina Lake, surrounded by thick woodland and picture postcard scenery, are home to grayling and brown trout. Just a couple of miles away is Misurina Lake, the ‘pearl of the Dolomites’, which lies near the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and is the ideal habitat for Arctic char and brown trout. The many rivers, brooks and the Ansiei stream make it a very varied fishing area, with designated areas for kill, no-kill and catch and release fishing.
