The Forest of Heroes is a path rich in history and memory, to remember the war and celebrate peace.
It is a ring route that develops along significant places, between the Italian and Austro-Hungarian trenches, on the places where they fought, died and thousands of unfortunate soldiers of both front were buried.
The path in the woods follows the Cadorna mule track to branch off, then along the war paths, where the original rural houses of those places are still preserved, namely Fojaroi, whose peculiarity consists in having hanging roofs built with beech branches.
The path of the Forest of Heroes is one of the many places witnesses of the Great War on Mount Grappa, so much so that the path is accompanied by wooden sculptures made by local artists with the intention of continuing over the years to add works that speak of peace.
In addition to being rich in history, it is also a path surrounded by nature, with a beautiful view towards Feltrino and its peaks, all surrounded by green grazing used for the alpine pastures where fresh cheeses are still produced.
