The blossoming of the apple trees in May looks like a snowfall on the Faller meadows.
This is the kingdom of the Prussian apple, or Pom Prussian, arrived in Sovramonte at the beginning of the 20th century together with workers returning from Prussia. It is a red apple with yellow streaks and medium-high size. It is very crisp, rich in protein and has little sugar. The acidic aftertaste, also makes it fresh and sparkling.
With its unmistakable taste it has become the symbol of the redemption of a territory where life is hard, but strongly authentic. From the expanses of blossoming apple trees, looking up, your eyes are lost in the immensity of the Vette Feltrine that show their majesty.
The Prussian Apple is tried in countless recipes of which it is protagonist, perhaps in October, when Faller hosts the fair dedicated to her.
Thanks to this fruit, in Faller, a widespread hotel was born, characterized by groups of residences scattered in the village that allowed the recovery of the economy of this mountain town, and a short and simple route, suitable for all those who want to immerse themselves in the knowledge of the extraordinary biodiversity of this small village.
