Sottoguda beech forest is a unque and relaxing place, to visit in silence and meditation.
It is reachable starting from the centre of Sottoguda hamlet, One of the most beautiful little village in Italy, and crossing a small wooden bridge: the route has a little ascent along a green meadow till the beginning of the forest.
This beech forest is also known as "faièr" in the local language or "faggeta" in italian.
Some years ago, Sottoguda inhabitants created a ring route called "Meditation path" that is the main trail into the beech forest and accompany the visitor with some quotation about meditation and relax.
The ideal period for visiting Sottoguda beech forest is of course in autumn: in that period beech leaves change their colours into orange and red, the foliage period.
