A circular path to discover the Cajada forest, the largest and one of the most beautiful in the Park, used for centuries by the Republic of Venice.
The forest occupies a huge basin, formed as a result of a landslide over 20,000 years ago and with a volume double that of the nearby Vajont.
Along the route, you can admire the Queen of Cajada: a monumental white fir 35 meters tall and 2 centuries old.
Access: travel along the SS 51 di Alemagna to the locality of Faè (Longarone), here turn left following the signs for “Cajada forest,” until you reach Pian de Le Stele (parking and Park information board)
