We are in the Belluno Dolomites National Park, in one of the most beautiful valleys of the Feltrino, the Val Canzoi.
Here lies the Stua Lake, an artificial body of water. The lake is the starting point for numerous treks, but it is also perfect for a simple walk. To discover the variety and beauty of this landscape, follow the easy loop trail around the lake's perimeter.
The Stua Lake is fed by the Caorame stream, a right tributary of the Piave, which runs through the Val Canzoi. Overlooking the artificial basin is the Cimonega mountain group, part of the Vette Feltrine.
The lake is located within the Belluno Dolomites National Park and serves as a starting point for high-altitude excursions on the Vette Feltrine and the Cimonega group, included in group 3 of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites.
Observe the outcrops of Dolomite rock, the forests of black hornbeam, beech, and Scots pine. Be prepared to encounter rare plants and, with a bit of luck, roe deer and mouflons.
Nature here is still pure, wild, and unspoiled, a true spectacle to fill your eyes and soul!
