It stands in the woods next to the former Grande Albergo Misurina, now the Pio XII Institute. In August 1900, Don Antonio Da Rin consecrated the church and Queen Margherita of Savoy attended the mass celebrated in honour of her husband killed in July of the same year. On the only altar, and in great haste to make the place suitable for the ceremony, the altarpiece depicting the Madonna della Salute was placed. The work, made by Tommaso Da Rin, disappeared following the Austrian invasion of 1917-18 and was replaced with the current one made by Pio Solero.
