The Museum of Montebelluna has a small detached seat: the Naturalistic Section of Schievenin, inserted in that wonderful natural park that is the valley of Schievenin of Setteville.
It is the result of a donation in 1984 by the then parish priest of the place, who wanted to leave these collections to the Museum of Montebelluna provided that the headquarters were kept in Schievenin: this in order to fully exploit the natural heritage, almost untouched of the valley. The sections of the collection are dedicated to the Geology, Zoology and Botany of the Schievenin Valley and Monte Grappa.
"From the Museum to the territory" is the project that, according to the most modern concepts of "diffused museum" and "ecomuseum", proposes environmental education courses that are carried out both on the territory, along naturalistic and historical itineraries, and in the premises of the Parish Centre, equipped with scientific instruments for the study of the themes of Life Sciences and Earth.
