Paragliding is considered the purest of air sports. No engine, no noise other than that of the wind in which we move.
It all starts here, thanks to the Paragliding School Feltre Monte Avena. Located in the municipality of Pedavena, in the southwest part of the province of Belluno in Veneto, on the border with Trentino Alto Adige, the School guides us to take flight from the 1400 meters of Monte Avena. Behind us, the panorama of the Belluno Dolomites, in front the low Prealps and then the Venetian plain that extends to the Lagoon. On clearer days we can admire in the distance the sea of Venice or be enchanted by the splendid colors of meadows, forests, and Dolomite rocks.
Thanks to our instructors, we have learned to scan the sky in search of the thermal currents that will take us high. We take off and turn in the warm air that rises to the clouds. We almost touch them and then off we go, with our wing we move in the wind towards the next current, towards the next thrill.
