The church has ancient origins, dating back to the fifth-sixth century.
Part of the rastauration works that took place in the years that bring to the reconsecration of the church, there are the restoration of the exeternal facade, of the eighteenth-century marmorino and relief decorations.
Inside you can find a single nave with four chapels on each side and numerous furnishings.
The altar of the Crucifixion that appears is a baroque work made of painted wood and gilded in the eighteenth century by Venetian workers.
