In 1868 the Italian Alpine Club’ Section was founded in Agordo – the fourth in Italy - a historic association for promotional and tourist reference. Currently, the association strives for the usability of the Agordina mountain enhanced by the presence of two excursion reference structures: the Carestiato Refuge at Col dei Pass, on the Alta Via route n.1 (Moiazza Group) and the Scarpa-Gurekian Refuge at Malga Lósch (Agnèr-Croda Granda Group), both in a privileged position for the view over all the peaks of the Conca Agordina.
