Sentiero della Val Schenèr, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II (Piazza Maggiore) - 32032 Feltre (BL) IT (0039) 04392540 feltrino@dolomitiprealpi.it www.dolomitiprealpi.it

A path close to the Vette Feltrine, which allows you to walk along what remains of the historic Via dello Schenèr.

The latter is also the name of the book by the historian from Feltre, Matteo Melchiorre, which contains numerous archive research on the events of the ancient mule track that for centuries was the only way of communication between Primiero and Belluno. A journey immersed in history and with the concrete possibility of exploring these places through a fascinating walk.

Starting from Zorzoi, head towards the district of Bettola, following the white-blue signs. After passing the "Capitel dei Tuu", you continue alongside the remains of the border castle called "Castel Schenèr".

After crossing the stream, then continue towards the "Capitel delle Roe" and just after you take a road on the left, which will allow you to continue the walk towards the district of Port until the Villabruna Shelter of the Hunter of the Val Rosna. The body, dating back 14 thousand years, was discovered in these places in 1987 by Aldo Villabruna during the rectification of the pre-existing road.

Finally, it is advisable to return along the same braid.
