In the Belluno Pre-Alps, Melere is best known for its festival held every year in the first 15 days of August, but the peace of its forests and meadows welcomes you all year round!
Here you can enjoy an equipped area with a playground and some picnic tables, surrounded by greenery and the gentle hills of the Valbelluna.
Nearby is also the starting point of a hike of medium difficulty - also suitable for families with children, provided they are used to walking on the trails - that will lead you to discover a real hidden gem: the Bognon waterfall.
Following the road from Melere to Pianezze, take a well-maintained and signposted path to the right. One descends into the forest until one hears loudly the sound of the waterfall, ready to reveal itself in all its wonder: a true spectacle of water, which makes two large jumps and colours two pools of water green and blue.
The Melere area is within everyone's reach and is conveniently accessible by car from Trichiana. The loop hike has a moderate difference in altitude (about 250 metres) and follows a path that is impervious for short stretches.
