It has a large parking lot and is a good starting point for excursions to Montanel and Crìdola, Spalti di Tóro and Monfalconi. The Azienda Agricola Il Frutto del Cadore, which manages the refuge, offers a cuisine based on the products of the company: a specialty is polenta (in italian) with hemp flour.
At the refuge there is also the direct sale of agricultural products such as honey, potatoes and vegetables. The easy access makes the structure particularly suitable to host convivial dinners and recurrence.
How to get there:
In summer
the Cercenà refuge can be reached by car. From Domegge, follow the signs for Padova and Cercenà shelter , cross the lake Centro Cadore and follow the road that climbs steeply in the woods and that is almost all paved.
At a certain point you will find a fork, turn left and in a short time you will reach shelter Cercenà, in a meadowy oasis at an altitude of 1050 meters.
Those who love quiet walks in the woods can climb on foot along the 4 km of road or on CAI path n. 345, which you take shortly after entering the road. Walking time about 1,30 hour.
In winter
the Refuge can be reached on foot and, snow permitting, with snowshoes or ski touring.
