Anello del Lago del Corlo

Anello del Lago del Corlo, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II (Piazza Maggiore) - 32032 Feltre (BL) IT (0039) 04392540 feltrino@dolomitiprealpi.it www.dolomitiprealpi.it

Between Valsugana and Monte Grappa, where Valbelluna opens, there is a fjord a few kilometers from the Veneto plain and the Dolomites: the Lake of Corlo.

Formed by an artificial dam of the deep canyon created by the Cismon stream, with an elongated and irregular shape, it takes its name from the small village that overlooks the dam. The lake extends southeast of Arsié up to the hamlet of Rocca, a settlement that was almost completely submerged with the creation of the reservoir in 1954.

The lake can also be crossed thanks to three bridges: Bridge of Victory or Bridge of Cords, suspended on steel cables, Bridge of Bassane, and Bridge de Polo, from which one can enjoy a beautiful view of Rocca. These bridges allow access to the opposite shore of this small village and thus to reach, through an easy path, the ancient hamlets now isolated and uninhabited, as well as some tunnels of the old railway line between Cismon and Feltre, which were built in the early twentieth century.

It is a place where the mountain walls descend vertically to blend with the greenery of the vegetation and the blue of the water.
