This walk is quite easy but will leave you breathless! The wild beauty of the upper Val Brenta will touch you: impervious but suggestive as only these valleys can be. Park your car in the recreational area of Melere where every year in August an important event managed by Pro Loco of Trichiana takes place. Start your itinerary along the valley road that will take you to the waterfall of Bognon.
Here the Porcellera stream flows into “La Brenta”. This confluence creates two suggestive water jumps, perfect to visit in winter as well, when the ice creates truly unique and spectacular light effects. Then cross Pianezze and the small villages of “Stabiole” and “Ventacol” where you must absolutely take pictures of the majestic blooms of rare and protected specimen of Red Lily, the Martagone Lily and the very rare Scarpette della Madonna (or Scarpette di Venere), two types of local orchids. On the way back to your car, surround yourself with the perfume of wild strawberries and lilies of the valley.
