The Church is not precisely known when the previous church of Santa Giustina was built, but it is certain that its dimensions were quite small. What is certain is the year of construction of the old bell tower, which is 1682. The current parish church was built between 1782 and 1791 by the felt maker Antonio De Boni, and consecrated in 1832. In 1855, the church floor was redone, and in 1878, the current bell tower was built after the previous one was destroyed by lightning. In 1918, Austrian soldiers stole the three bells, which were replaced by others in 1920. In 1935, the floor was redone again, and finally, in 2000, the spire of the bell tower was rebuilt.

Tradition dates its foundation to Saint Prosdocimus, the first Bishop of Padua.

In 1998, the remains of the Mother Church were found, dating back to the 5th-6th century, and those of the ancient basilica dating back to 1150, which had three naves and an apse facing east, where the entrance is currently located.

Inside, it is possible to find the "Madonna" by Francesco Frigimelico, a "Saint Francis" by Antonio Crico, and a statue of the "Sorrowful Mother" by Valentino Panciera Besarel.
