The church, as we can see today, is an eighteenth-century reinterpretation of the previous building, now dilapidated, as can be seen from the inscription above the protal dated 1785. The name of the architect is not known even if various hypotheses lead to believe that there is the hand of Antonio De Boni who designed the churches of Cesiomaggiore and Santa Giustina.
Inside the baptismal font is evidence of the previous parish church, built in Castellavazzo stone by Lorenzo Brisighella in 1585.
The interior has a single nave.
