The name "Vincheto" refers to the once excellent marshland area for the cultivation and harvesting of "vinchi", the willow branches used to make baskets.
The area is bordered by the river Piave, the streams Caorame and Celarda and numerous resurgences. It is located on the slopes of Mounts Garda and Miesna at about 300 meters above sea level in the municipality of Feltre and is easily accessible even for disabled people.
This protected area is a natural environment of extraordinary interest, a true paradise for animal lovers, which in the 100 hectares distributed along the Piave will admire deer, foxes, hares, squirrels, dormouses and moles in the wild, in addition to mouflon, deer and fallow deer bred in captivity. The network of easy paths that cross it allows you to admire without difficulty a true concentration of biodiversity, where over 50 species of birds nest.
The Vincheto di Celarda Nature Reserve is a precious natural treasure chest, a few kilometers from the center of Feltre.
