A walk on the places dear to Dino Buzzati, the great author from Belluno, who loved to climb up to Valmorel to take inspiration.
It is undoubtedly a very suggestive and famous walk because it is frequently walked by the writer, who had his birthplace in Belluno. The views of the Valbelluna, the provincial capital and the Dolomite groups are very suggestive.
A steep mule track between the capitals leads to the sanctuary of Our Lady of Parè with the three great Crosses at the foot of which emerge the traces of a fortified village high-medieval, of which there are still traces of defensive walls and the basement remains of some buildings.
Going up along the northern buttresses of the Prealpi Bellunesi, you arrive at San Pietro in Tuba, first, and then at the capital of Santa Rita, built in 1973 in memory of the last literary effort of Buzzati, "The Miracles of Val Morel", set precisely in these places, where the artist had imagined the existence of a shrine dedicated to Santa Rita.
Continuing along the path, finally, you come out in the wide plain called precisely Valpiana until you reach the village of Valmorel.
