The street of the water is an itinerary that goes up the course of the Veses stream, starting from the Piave.
A path to better understand the fundamental importance of water: an essential element for life, a factor of economic development, a force that shapes the landscapes. Along the way you can observe the traces left by the flow of water (from the glaciations to the present day), and the artifacts created by man to exploit the hydraulic energy.
The street of the water is a charming path that winds through the countryside, woods, paths and walkways following the flow of the river Veses. The route starts at the ancient mill of Santa Libera in Salzan, then through beautiful woods passes through the hydroelectric station up to the hostel Altanon, at the foot of Mount Pizzocco.
A stretch is also included in the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park and departs from the Altanon hostel to enter the wild Val Scura, at the foot of Mount Pizzocco, joining the itinerary Chiesette Pedemontane.
