The Deer Trail is a path that starts from the square of Tambre and plunges into the woods upstream, after passing through the beautiful residential village of Sant'Anna.
Nearby there is the "lama" of Lamaraz, a typical enclosed karst dolina full of water, and the House of the Book, a truly striking construction made of wooden books and made by the Venetian artist Livio De Marchi. Not far away there is also the ANA headquarters in Tambre, in front of which there is one of the ancient milestone of confinement of the Serenissima's banned forest between 1550 and 1798.
Continue, then, towards the Church of Sant'Anna until you enter the wonderful beech forest of Cansiglio, going up Col Saler to the pastures of the Tambre Alms to the Val de Piera. Leaving the forest you reach Malga Manteo, located on a beautiful terrace overlooking the Alpago and Cansiglio, but also on what you can see of the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park.
From here begins the long descent through the paths and dirt roads, which will lead you back to the village of Tambre.
