Imagine an old rural village surrounded by greenery, where time seems to stand still: cultivated fields, a little church, and a villa with the peaks of Feltre as backdrop.
This place exists and is in Grum, across from the San Martino Valley, at the feet of the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park. It is here in the second half of the 17th century where the De Mezzan counts of Feltre decided to build their home. Today, the villa retains its original function and rustic character and is run as a working farm and farm stay by the descendants of the De Mezzan family.
Let yourself be fascinated by the centuries of history housed in these places. Learn about the farming tradition in the small but rich Agricultural Museum, admire the beautiful rose garden, go inside, and look around the ancient little church of St. Stephen, and stop to look at the large wrought-iron gate made by Carlo Rizzarda.
Enjoy the tranquillity, peace and beauty of the landscape surrounding this wonderful Venetian villa.
