The quaint village dominates the Valboite and is one of the oldest in Cadore. The Church of St. John the Baptist, which is recognized as a national monument, houses many valuable works, including the high altarpiece attributed to Francesco Vecellio, brother of the famous Titian.

Curiosities and tips

  • Cabbage is Vinigo’s finest produce. The end of summer is the best time to photograph the “Pias,” the giant vegetable garden.
  • From here you have a front-row spot to look at the “Caregon (throne) of the Eternal Father,” Pelmo, in all its majesty
