We are on the eastern slope of Sorapiss for this medium-difficulty itinerary connecting Vandelli mountain shelter with Comici bivouac.
The CAI route covering 4 kilometres and 500 metres of elevation gain, begins at an altitude of 2,020 metres above sea level from Comici bivouac and allows the crossing of the Croda del Fogo ridge at 2,400 metres above sea level and then reaches the cirque of the Sorapìss group.
From here you can admire the view on the rocky rampart and Monte Cristallo that rises beyond the Tre Croci Pass. The via ferrata is not as difficult as the first section, except at two stretches: a partially equipped ledge interrupted by a rocky outcrop, to an elevation of 2,567 metres above sea level, and a descent in a vertical gully between Croda del Fogo and Corno Sorelle, equipped with ropes and ladders.
