Perfect for a route that takes more than one day, the Marino Guardiano ferrata will take you up Monte Pelf in the Schiara group.
The route, recommended only for experienced hikers, is challenging given the 1,000 metres of elevation gain and 4-kilometre length. It serves as a natural continuation to the Marmol ferrata (link), to reach the peak of Monte Pelf.
Imposing, good-natured and grassy to the south, wild and lonely to the north, Monte Pelf stands just east of the Schiara.
Locally it is known as Montagna del Fontanón, named after the waterfall at the foot of its north face.
