A vertical via ferrata that will take you up to the highest of the peaks of the Ciadin subgroup of the Sexten Dolomites.
The Merlone via ferrata is an exposed and strenuous climb that from the Fonda Savio mountain shelter leads to the north-east peak of Cadini di Misurina, thanks in part to a long flight of stairs.
The kilometre-long via ferrata with 500 metres of elevation gain is very challenging, and is in a harsh and beautiful environment. A horizontal metal cable crossing with maximum exposure can be considered the most spectacular and challenging point of the route. The panorama of jagged spires gives the feeling of being in a rock castle.
