On this short via ferrata, which connects Tofana di Mezzo Peak to Tofana di Dentro Peak, the view sweeps over all the groups surrounding the Ampezzo basin, from Fanes Dolomites to Sexten Dolomites.
The route, 4.5 kilometres long with 200 metres of elevation gain, is not particularly difficult, but it is in a harsh environment high up on the mountain.
It is the easiest of the three Tofane vie ferrate—Olivieri, Lipella, Formenton—but given the altitude, it is not to be underestimated. You can climb it both uphill and downhill, but the classic itinerary starts from the station above Tofana di Mezzo—Freccia del Cielo—and then reaches the middle station of Ra Valles.
