Admire the spectacular panorama of the Dolomites at Cortina d’Ampezzo in all their majesty with a via ferrata that climbs Tofana di Mezzo, the highest of the three Tofane mountains.
The Gianni Aglio via ferrata, suitable for expert climbers, runs between 2,900 metres above sea level and 3,100 metres above sea level with moderately difficult technical stretches. The most difficult part of the route is the short section on the eastern face of Torre Aglio and, especially, the highly exposed crossing that follows.
Given the altitude that brings temperatures down a lot, with the possibility of snowfall even in the middle of summer, it is essential to tackle this via ferrata only in very stable weather when there is no fog on the ridges.
