The spectacular Dolomites at Cortina d’Ampezzo are the protagonists of this via ferrata that ascends the highest peak of the Nuvolau group.
The short and fun equipped itinerary, of moderate difficulty, allows climbers to reach the summit of Averau with an altitude gain of 120 metres and is 800 metres long. Opening here is a 360-degree Dolomite panorama.
The route does not present exceptional difficulty, and the starting point is easily reached from the nearby Averau hut, served by ski lifts. The most expert climbers combine it with the Ra Gusela via ferrata, for a daily itinerary within the Averau Nuvolau mountain range.
