On this very scenic via ferrata, you will climb Monte Palombino, on the border between Italy and Austria, starting from Val Visdende.
The Via Ferrata del Camoscio, which ascends the south/east ridge of Palombino, is an easy via ferrata, but very panoramic. Starting from Val Visdende, after covering 10 kilometres and 1,300 metres of elevation gain, you reach the summit of Monte Palombino, on the border between Italy and Austria.
The via ferrata is never too exposed and is equipped discontinuously with handrail cable, some pegs, and a ladder at the start. The view ranges from the Austrian mountains to the Dolomites, the greenery of the beautiful Val Visdende “Temple of God, Ode to the Creator.”
