With its 5-kilometre length and 900 metres of elevation gain, the Piazzetta ferrata is a challenge which will, however, give you satisfaction and a breathtaking view in return.
The route leads to the Capanna Fassa mountain shelter by a very challenging route, both for technical difficulties and in terms of elevation gain: go only if you have the right preparation. Especially for the first few metres, it is necessary to have strong arms to overcome the verticality of the wall, which therefore requires some familiarity with exposed areas. From the rocky ledge of the summit, you get a 360-degree view, from that fossil atoll that is the Sella Group.
