It is one of the most challenging via ferrata routes of all the Dolomites, often referred to as the “super-ferrata.”
Fatigue, adrenaline, satisfaction, and unique views are the ingredients of this classic ascent that is 9 kilometres long with 1,200 metres of elevation gain.
Start from the Carestiato mountain shelter and walk the circular route that leads to the south summit of Moiazza, also crossing Forcella delle Nevere and Forcella Masenade.
Very difficult climb, with some points that are extremely technical and challenging. To overcome some stretches, you will use mostly your arms. The descent proves to be not very difficult, but beware of fatigue that can be felt given the long length of the path! The panorama toward the San Sebastian is impressive.
